I have been advised by a fellow sufferer on a self help forum that I might find a saliva test for cortisol helpful, I am currently really suffering from various symtoms which are really getting me down now !! they include anxiety\ sress , insomnia, headaches, aching joints a pretty constant “burning” sensation in my lower limbs.. , groin and feet ( the soles really!) My Gp has been treating me “down the stress road” prescribing various meds like amytriptilne , nitrazapan, mirtazapine etc but I know that I am not getting any better, he then after some persuasion got me an appointment with and Endocrinologist who arranged further blood tests which showed up some odd figures ( in my opinion!) there was quite a fluctuation in the ranges that were shown… depite that I have not heard anything further from either of these two gentlemen I really despair now , it seems that I am getting no headway at all, and it is really spoiling my life seriously !! I would welcome your opinion, as I am really quite desperate now Thanking you in anticipation Ian Macnab

I have been constipated for exactly 5 months following a therapy session where a re-visted a birth trauma. I was left feeling emotionally well but hyper (quick heart rate/palpitations) and constipated. Previous to this, I had a very healthy digestive system and regular bowel movements. I now am weak, sometimes have tingling in my finger tips, cold extremeties and short of breath/excitement/hyper- particularly first thing in the morning. I feel like my adrenals could have been stressed during the therapy session. I also have endometriosis and swollen abdomen (swelling increased since the trauma event). I would like one of the adrenal-testing kits and any other advice would be much appreciated.
